Tub Mill Pond Island Painting, Moriah, NY

This little hidden pond is one of my favorites to hike into. Once you get out on the water, it's nothing but pure solitude. There are numerous islands to paddle around, the water is crystal clear in some places and you can see every little fish bed. Paddle a little further and the the water is jet black and mysterious. Loons coming up close to inspect you and their eerie call gives you the chills. Painted on a 12" birch wooden tondo (circular wood form). Approximately 1 3/4" thick (sides painted black).
