Gardening with Kids – Grow Vegetables. Learn Science.

A garden is a living, breathing science project. As you watch the plants respond to sunlight and water, you can learn their parts and what they do. You can see the animals that pollinate them and the ones that eat them (or lay eggs on them). You can see the plants’ life cycles throughout the season and how they develop their offspring - your food. In the end, the vegetables you grow will be a delicious, healthy reminder of your own food web and your connection to the Earth itself.

This full color book includes realistically illustrated resources for planning, preparing soil, starting seeds, planting, tending, and harvesting a garden with kids. It integrates Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) with reading, color diagrams, and activities. (54 pages).
