This seasoning blend is made by hand in Saranac Lake from a blend of vegetable oils and beeswax. Its soft, wax-like texture makes it easy to apply a thin, even coat with no drips or puddles. Thin coats are what give you a hard, durable finish instead of a sticky one. The beeswax adds a longer-lasting layer of protection, which helps pans that sit between uses.

Use it for everyday upkeep, to bring back a pan with worn or flaking seasoning, or to build a first coat on bare iron.

About the maker

Cedar Mountain Supply Co. grew out of a love of cooking and cast iron. We've called the Adirondacks home for more than 40 years. For the past decade, we've been rescuing cast iron heirlooms from Adirondack barns and attics and restoring them. We developed this oil after years of looking for one product that could do two jobs: build a durable coating on a bare or poorly seasoned pan, and keep up the seasoning on pans that families have cooked with for generations. The only thing we love more than sharing it is cooking with it!
