In the late 19th and early 20th century, patients who came to Saranac Lake to get treatment for Tuberculosis would find themselves prescribed the four basic tenets of The Rest Cure: Fresh air and sun, a high calorie diet, light exercise, rest and relaxation.

Enjoy this 12 x 18 inch print, which draws inspiration from the Work Project Administration advertisements of the 30s and 40s, and lists those very treatment steps which thousands of people across the Adirondacks took part in.
